Erin Rosalie Thomas is a multi-media figurative artist, best known for her wool paintings created by felt-needling onto canvas. Her work explores the discourse between body language, communication and connection, while engaging with the contemporary western ideals of femininity. Erin investigates existence beyond superficial identity.

Erin explains, “The characteristics of feminine identity are constantly up for discussion, often making it hard to shut out the noise. By focusing too much on our vanities, we don’t pay attention to our complexities that define us, or the interpersonal relationships that enrich us. The faces & figures in my work represent the ironic interplay of our liberation and condemnation.”

Erin studied BA Fine Art at Kingston School of Art, graduating in 2020. She has since developed her practise, exhibiting in several group shows and winning the ronapainting prize at the Oxford Art Society 2024 open exhibition. Erin is also helping coordinate the 2025 Young Artists exhibition with Oxford Art Society, and runs a the young artist critique sessions Get Your Crit Together in Oxford at Magdalen Road Studios.
